How to Deal with the Holidays Without Losing it @ Teen Room
Nov 17 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

For many, the period from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day is a time to observe treasured religious traditions, celebrate with big family dinners, reflect on what there is to be thankful for, and make magical moments for their children.

But the holiday season also can also bring stress, anxiety, sadness and depression.

This session will focus on different tools to add to attendees toolbox to help manage, reduce and even embrace stress.

We will explore some basics about stress during the holidays, explore some stressors, and learn some practical stress-less strategies.

  • Identify goals for the holidays and learn how to be more realistic about the holiday experience
  • Recognize behavioral, physiological, and psychological stress symptoms of holiday stress and understand how ignoring them places our health in jeopardy
  • Utilize various activities and coping strategies to ease the stress and develop a holiday action plan.

Most importantly.. attendees will have FUN!!

NOTE:  Childcare will be provided during this seminar, for an additional fee. Children will participate in learning Chess and creative arts activities. Childcare will be provided by Putting Children First, a childcare provider located on our church campus. Please arrive between 9:30 am and 9:45 am to allow time to check your child into the child care center.
